PRIVACY_PROTOCOL

Effective Date: 2026-01-01 // Status: Active

01. ZERO KNOWLEDGE ARCHITECTURE

DigiCamFX is a client-side application.

Unlike traditional photo editors that upload your private images to a cloud server for processing, DigiCamFX operates entirely within your web browser. When you "upload" a photo to DigiCamFX, it is merely being loaded into your browser's memory (WebGL context).

Your photos never leave your device. We do not have servers that store, view, or process your images. This architecture ensures complete privacy by design.

02. DATA COLLECTION

We practice strict data minimization. Here is exactly what we collect:

  • Functional Data (Local Storage): We may store small bits of data in your browser's "Local Storage" to remember your preferences (e.g., your last used filter or UI settings). This data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Anonymous Analytics: We use privacy-preserving analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to aggregate basic usage statistics (e.g., "how many users visited the site today" or "which 404 pages were hit"). This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally or see your photos.

03. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

DigiCamFX is hosted on Vercel's Edge Network. While we do not collect personal data, standard web server logs (IP addresses for DDoS protection) may be temporarily processed by our infrastructure provider for security purposes only.

04. COOKIES

We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We do not sell your data to data brokers. Any "cookies" or local storage items are strictly necessary for the technical operation of the application (e.g., PWA functionality).

If you have questions about this protocol, please contact us via the GitHub repository or our public channels.
